How Syndi Works
Accessing the app
● Users can access the app by going onto Syndi’s website (www.syndi.co.uk) and clicking on “Join Now” or “Get Started”, or going to app.syndi.co.uk.
● This will direct the user to the application, which they can then also download onto their phone via the web browser if they would like (to access it from their phone apps).
Registration & login
● New users can register on the app landing page by clicking on “Sign Up” and choosing which method they would like and completing the registration process:
○ Register via email (and create a password) or social login (Google, Facebook, etc.; no password required).
○ Enter personal details (full name, phone, date of birth, address) and then KYC checks and location verification are performed by Syndi via a third-party provider.
○ Once verified, the account is activated and an in-app Syndi wallet is created.
● Returning users can log into the app using the same method they signed up with on the app landing page.
Community Play
● Users can enrol to play with the Syndi community by clicking on the “Play” option in the footer bar and choosing “Play with Community”.
● Users will choose how many syndicates they want to enrol into for each draw day on a weekly basis.
○ Maximum of 3 syndicates per draw day
○ Each community syndicate has fixed, predetermined lines & members - 10 lines and 10 members per syndicate. Each member has 10% share (1/10th).
● Users will then be taken to the order review and payment page which will provide an order summary and a breakdown of the user’s payment as well as description of our monthly billing and payment system.
● After the user has confirmed and completed the purchase, they will be provided a confirmation and can view their enrollment in the “My Games” page of the app (accessible from the footer bar) under the “Enrolments” tab.
● The user can view their upcoming and past draws from the “Draws” tab of the “My Games” page.
● Users can change or cancel their enrolment at any time. They can do so in 2 ways:
○ Going to the “My Games” and the “Enrolments” tab, and clicking on the ellipses on their enrolment card and choosing the appropriate option.
○ Going to the “Play” page and choosing “Play with Community” (if a user has an existing enrolment, they will be shown a summary of the current enrolment by clicking this and can then edit it).
● Users can view all their syndicate details for each draw by clicking on the syndicate card for the draw, which can be found in the “My Games” page under the “Draws” tab.
Private Play
● Users can create or join a private group with people they know by clicking on the “Play” option in the footer bar and choosing “Play Private”. They will then have the option to either create a group or join a group.
Creating a group
○ If a user is creating a group, they will first need to input a group name.
○ Then they will choose the group play schedule (i.e., which draws they would like to play in each week). This cannot be changed after a group is created.
○ Then they will select the group size (the group will only activate and start playing once these many members join). This can be changed after a group is created.
○ Once these steps are completed, the group will be created and the user can share the group details with other members to join.
Joining a group
○ If a user is joining a group, they can do so in 2 ways:
■ Invite link - Members can click on the invite link shared by the group admin to be taken to the group summary page with the password automatically put in and just need to confirm that they want to join the group.
■ Manual - Input the 8-digit group code. They will then be taken to the group summary page and will need to put in the 4-digit pin and confirm joining the group.
○ Once these steps are completed, the user will have joined the group successfully.
● After joining a group, all users must enrol themselves (including the group creator) by clicking on “Enrol Yourself” on the group homepage.
○ The users will be asked to select how many lines they want for each draw day that the group will play in each week.
○ Users can select between 1 and 5 lines for each draw day (cannot select 0, all group members must participate in all group draws).
○ They will then be taken to the order review and pay page which will provide an order summary and a breakdown of the user’s payment as well as description of our monthly billing and payment system.
○ After the user has confirmed and completed the purchase, they will be provided a confirmation and taken back to the group home page.

■ In the “My Games” page of the app (accessible from the footer bar) under the “Enrolments” tab

General details and rules
● Users will be automatically enroled in their chosen number of syndicates (for community) or their chosen number of lines (for private) every week for the draws chosen.
● Syndi defines “a week” as Sunday-Saturday.
● Syndicate creation and allocations for each week will be done at the beginning of the week (03:00AM Sunday), except when a user first enrols:
○ Users will be allocated to syndicates for the current week when they enrol.
○ If a user enrols mid-week for a draw day that has already passed for the current week, they will be allocated to syndicates for the next week when they enrol.
● Cut-off time: Syndi’s defined internal cut-off at which point participation is locked and closed for a draw in the current week. This is currently 3PM on the day of the draw.
○ If a user enrols for a draw day after the cut-off time, they will be allocated to syndicates for next week.
● Any enrollment changes or cancellations will take effect from the subsequent week in which the changes are made.
● Syndi will charge users in advance for their enrollment on a monthly basis based on a monthly billing cycle. Payment amount will vary month to month based on the number of draws that fall within the billing cycle.
